Call for Papers 'Sanctuaries and Ritual Practices in the Metal Ages'

The METALAGES 2025 colloquium will be held from 26 to 27 September 2025 in Graz (Austria), co-organized by the 'Metal Ages in Europe and the Mediterranean' commission and the Archaeology department at the University of Graz. This year's 'Metal Ages' colloquium  will welcome contributions on all aspects relating to sanctuaries and ritual practices in the Chalcolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages, as vital elements for our understanding of the cultural, spiritual, and social dimensions of past societies. As usual, apart from contributions dealing with this main theme, contributions to the colloquiums general session may deal with any aspect of the archaeology of the Metal Ages in Europe and the Mediterranean. The call for papers is open until 15 June 2025.
